Basic Knowledge For Getting A Vietnam Visa

Normally, most travellers to Vietnam need a visa. You should contact a travel agent to be instructed about this, or you can go directly to a Vietnamese embassy or consulate in your country if it is convenient for you to come. It takes time for Embassies/consulates time to process your requests. When you obtain your visa, remember to check the entry and exit dates carefully. Mistakes must be corrected before your arrive in Vietnam; otherwise you may not be allowed to enter the country.

Vietnam visas can also be arranged for collection on arrival – but this process must be started before your trip to Vietnam.You will not be able to get on your plane if you don't have a correct letter of authorization to get a visa on arrival. To get a visa for Vietnam on arrival, an authorization letter must be obtained first. It's is critical to the visa process to ensure that the details are correct – especially the date of arrival and date of exit. There is no problem if the entry date is several days before the intended arrival, or several days after the intended date of departure.
